Dr. Andrew S. Moon

Orthopedic Spine Surgeon

Dr. Andrew S. Moon is a board-eligible orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preservation, and robotic-assisted spine procedures. He treats disorders of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine with a conservative, patient-centered approach, prioritizing non-operative treatment whenever appropriate and recommending surgery only when it offers clear and meaningful benefit. Dr. Moon cares for his patients as he would members of his own family, emphasizing thoughtful decision-making, clear communication, and individualized care.

Dr. Moon completed his orthopaedic surgery residency through the Tufts Affiliated Hospitals Orthopaedic Surgery Residency Program in Boston, where he received the Henry Banks Outstanding Chief Resident Award for clinical excellence. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in spine surgery at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, a program recognized for its emphasis on minimally invasive, motion-preserving, and robotic-assisted spine surgery. His clinical expertise includes the evaluation and treatment of neck and back pain, disc herniations, spinal stenosis, degenerative spine disease, spinal deformity, and trauma. When surgery is indicated, Dr. Moon emphasizes muscle-sparing, minimally invasive approaches designed to reduce recovery time, preserve mobility, and support long-term spinal health. Dr. Moon is actively involved in clinical research and remains committed to integrating the latest evidence and technology into patient care. Above all, he values listening to his patients, understanding their concerns, and partnering with them to develop a personalized treatment plan based on evidence, empathy, and trust.
